Everything usage-based revenue needs, in one platform
11 pricing models
Give your reps the flexibility to package usage with unit, tiered, matrix and expression-based pricing.
140+ API end points
Covering quotes, usage, credits, invoices and revenue, with SDKs for TypeScript, Python, Go and Rust.
0 unbilled usage
Sweep your customer base for usage that isn't covered by an active subscription with our usage detection tool.
Reliable event ingestion
Raw event API, custom IDs, properties, timestamps, event names
Metering
Send usage the way you already store it
Stream events through the API, upload a CSV, or let Alguna pull them on a schedule from BigQuery or ClickHouse. Finance builds the metrics in the dashboard, no code required.
- Count, unique count, sum, average, min and max, with filters on any event property
- Duplicate events dropped by event ID
- Late and backdated events land in the right billing period
PRICING
Price usage any way you sell it
Eleven pricing models cover unit, tiered, graduated, prepaid with overages and percentage of volume. Matrix pricing sets a different rate per model, region or tier. Expressions price one line from several metrics.
- Rate cards hold a price list that many plans share. Publish a new rate once and every subscription on it bills it from the effective date.
- Usage that matches no rate is never billed at zero. It holds the invoice until someone prices or accepts it.
Credits and commits
Credits, commits and wallets, enforced in real time
Sell prepaid credits, committed spend and overages without a spreadsheet on the side. Every grant, drawdown and expiry is written to a ledger.
- Reserve credits before an expensive job runs, then settle on what the job actually used
- Alert customers automatically when they reach 80% of their prepaid usage
- Customers see their usage against prepaid units in the billing portal
Revenue and collections
Close the books on usage, not on exports
Revenue schedules for ASC 606 and IFRS 15 come from the same agreement that drives the invoice. AI agents chase overdue invoices within the guardrails you set.
- Revenue Assurance finds usage that should have been billed: lapsed plans, products not on contract, usage with no subscription
- Dunning and collections run on the invoice record, not in a separate tool
- Invoices, payments and revenue sync to NetSuite, QuickBooks and Xero
You send the usage, we handle the rest
4 weeks to go-live
Not a quarter-long implementation project with an agency.
Billing agents that do the grunt work
Let billing support and reporting agents handle busywork.
0 discrepancies
What was sold is what gets billed and booked.

Frequently asked questions
How does Alguna collect usage data?
Send events through the API, upload a CSV, or connect BigQuery or ClickHouse and Alguna pulls events on a schedule. Duplicate events are dropped by event ID. Each event's timestamp decides which billing period it lands in, so late data is billed correctly.
Can Alguna handle prepaid credits, commits and overages?
Yes. Sell monetary or unit credits, wallets, committed spend and minimums, with overages billed in arrears. Every grant and drawdown is recorded on a ledger. You can also check and reserve credits in real time before work runs.
How is Alguna different from other usage metering engines?
A metering engine counts events and prices them. Quoting, revenue recognition, collections and billing audits stay in other tools. Alguna does the metering and runs all of those too, from one agreement per customer.
What is revenue assurance?
Revenue Assurance compares your usage events with your subscriptions and flags usage you aren't billing for. That covers usage with no subscription, usage after a plan lapsed, and products a plan doesn't include. Attach the price you'd charge, and it sizes each gap in dollars.
Is Alguna API-first?
Yes. Everything you bill on runs through a date-versioned REST API with 140+ endpoints. There are SDKs for TypeScript, Python, Go and Rust, plus the alguna CLI, webhooks and an MCP server for AI assistants.
Can my customers see their usage?
Yes. The billing portal shows each customer's usage against their prepaid units. Automations can email them when they reach a threshold such as 80% of their commitment.
How does moving to Alguna work?
Alguna's team runs the migration with you: account setup, integrations, pricing and contract migration, a test billing run, then go-live. From Stripe, Alguna imports customers, their stored payment methods and their subscriptions.
